I am Mirja, architect and artist living near the Alps in Germany.

Artmaking is my happy place.

I love creating intuitive modern abstract art.
Working with color, texture and mark-making gives me the most joy.

My process is a constant back and forth between intuitive movement and intellectual step backs and adjustments.
 

During the process of painting I strive for surprises and the unplanned, relying on the the interaction between perception and reaction whilst using all the impressions  that I have gathered within me.
